Financial Education is a love language.
Happy February, everyone!
On 2/10/23, we had our very own Love + Money Webinar. Presented by yours truly, Shantel Sanchez. I wanted to shine a light on the importance of couples understanding how money works. This, often taboo, conversation is rightfully believed to either make or break a relationship.
Therefore, my goal was to showcase various couples from all different walks of life and experiences who were willing to provide some tips and tricks to have a thriving relationship with their partner and money. Here's the method to my madness:
My partner Aaron Pagan and I - 3 Years, not married, no kids
Michelle and Pierre - 5 years, engaged, "practicing" (no kids)
Jerica and Dezz - 3 years married, guardians to their siblings, animals for children
Dr. Danielle and Toney - married, blended family with 4 children
Shaun and LaVonne - 25 years married, 13/15 Children, many animals.
So, as you can see, there is a lot to learn from these couples.
Here are some huge takeaways from the event!
listen to your partner
communicate effectively
have patience and control your emotions
try your best to understand one another
That's some secret sauce right there. Please, take my advice.
